Ahh this sunburn’s peeling Help me prepare for who I will become shortly Static art; shock and stillness Only one way I know how to revive a memory We’ve got connections Some sinister intentions Watch you meddle in elections Achy backs in our old apartment Where feet were stained black by dust unsettling locomotion Sixteenth street, someone yelling in the crosswalk Reflections of my own eyes glaring back through my sunglasses Oh we’ve got connections Some sinister intentions I watch you meddle in elections They’re coming ‘round, that pesky sun Some artisan uniforms Iconoclastic warmth And an espresso to-go Run through your routine like a metronome Wailing through your hands like a megaphone All the Orwellian clones That don’t know how to cope I don’t know how to cope ... They have the nerve to say Well, what more could you want from a machine? Like nothing’s out of the ordinary We’ve got connections Some sinister intentions I watch you meddle in elections Are you adjusting to the tension? I can sense your apprehension No, no not today! 1, 2, 3,

He won’t stand a chance without a head on his neck Picture frames that tell you what to say when it makes sense Gilded and detached, you are a lamb Ain’t got a language, only slaughter’s worth a damn Ahh one of us is them One of us is them One of us is them My, my we’ve changed Rose tips and all, she’s got her lipstick on the ball Concealing weapons she’s had hidden since the fall Topple down the patriarchy, yeah! I am just a messenger, oh please don’t shoot me Ahh one of us this them One of us is them One of us is them Wooaahh, wooaahh Ahh one of us is them One of us is them Ohh ahhh Ohh ahhh My, my we’ve changed Ain’t that right?

Got something to tell me, well let it spill Does inspiration keep you still? Far too much wall space for one life to fill It must get lonely in those shoes State of the art State of the Artificial Heart State of the art, yeah Oh vacillation, could it all be true? Need some new heads for this new new Leave an impression and then leave me alone Your admiration’s one big stone to cast State of the art State of the Artificial Heart State of the art, yeah Woah I wanted to show you that I’m not a fool Throw on a jacket; we’ll be there soon State of the art State of the Artificial Heart State of the art, yeah! I was just testing you; holding a flame It’s mine to live with; it’s all of my shame

I wrote the book You guided my hand and bought me the paper Strut like a wounded singer Cut like a million sharp eyes (Give it another minute) Prize (Give it another minute) Round and round a shameful fable Give me all you got if you’re not blind Riding the hooks Too late for empty seats at a hostile table Sure as a fire catches Dry as a wind that scratches the sky (Give it another minute) Why?! (Give it another minute) Get your grubby hands off of it No one claims to be above it Fine! Pry into nook Create another home for the disenchanted Yell like a struck berserker Spells that are lifted by your cries (Give it another minute) Lies! (Give it another minute) Stalling in the simulator Just another imitator Mine! (Interlude/Instrumental) I will not surrender you to any overrated tune I will not surrender you No, I will not

Cream 03:39
She said she’d dream about it She said there’s no point to pretend Just screaming ‘bout it She cried, “Oh watch the pointed end!” Oh don’t put it in your head It’s so certain to offend Listen to the passers by Watch the signals change to red It’s the color of an understated theme The railroad built to carry your pipe dreams The color of another brother’s team The blood mixed in with your coffee cream My darkness will not pass away! Far be it from me to bring it up Don’t you think it ought to end? Burning candles down to quicks No more sermons to attend I thought I aired it on the line Things I felt when I was nine - Teenagers never think Don’t wake up until they blink The color of an understated theme The railroad built to carry your pipe dreams The color of another brother’s team The blood mixed in with your coffee cream Let the lady have her way! Too damn scared to re-enter Interstellar dissenter I knew it wouldn’t last Their calm loving’s in the past Oh trauma travels fast Or it ties you to the tracks Scrawled writing on the rocks Said, “Watch the pointed end!” Here nor there, but gone today!

Vanilla 04:30
I want a lover that smells like vanilla Some ancient Egyptian goddess queen that wears me ‘round like a headdress I want to wear your bruise like a henna I want to feel exposure via your personal torture device I wanna find you bound and tied I wanna find you stifling a scream Using your one free hand to strangle me I wanna see more blood and guts I wanna meet the maker of the scene Of some new horror fantasy Dominate the bondage agenda Subjugate me, backhanded sanity, succumb to avarice Lowlife whiplash ballerina Someone to grow old with as long as all your loving bleeds me dry! I wanna find you bound and tied I wanna find you stifling a scream Using your one free hand to strangle me I wanna see more blood and guts I wanna meet the maker of the scene Of some new horror fantasy

Bite my nails down to the quick In this material ocean Get on your ritual clothing And do it quickly Why are we looking back? When we should be closing the gap Why are we looking back? When we should be closing the gap — Aah, aah, aah Coffee stains on the desk where I think “It’s nothing sinister though” Got those central gears Keep on turning and turning and turning and turning Got those deepest fears Keep on riding you, riding you, keep on riding you, riding you — Ooh, ooh, ooh I will not remain just to fill another hole in your heart Somehow certainty has eluded us from the start Please darling refrain from putting emphasis on how things have changed!

Let Me Down 03:49
What if I was just another wave? And you are just another beach to break on? One you walk along for days, love And still you’ll never make it to where you’re going I wanna know, have you seen the light? Hiding in the grass, waiting for the night Let me down What if I was just another face? And were just another meal to swallow Now, I’ve infiltrated your base, love Now, it doesn’t feel so nearly as hollow I’ve often wondered how often you space aged it, emaciated like you actually felt the pain Hardly ever hear what came that night Let me down Loosening Your grip around my neck Half the time I wish I would confess Let me down Ooh, ooh, ooh Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh!
